Kolkata: After staying away from cricket for over one month India's first choice Test match wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha made a come-back via Local club cricket scoring a Century (107 not out off 74 balls). With this knock Wriddhiman Saha definitely sent a message to the Natinal selectors about his fitness for the up-coming four Test match series at home against Australia. Wriddhiman missed out on the last three Tests against England suffering from tendonitis (thigh strain) and his replacement Parthiv Patel made full use of opportunities scoring two half-centuries.

"No one would like to miss out on a Test series. It's only natural that one would be disappointed if you would have to sit out due to an injury. Now Parthiv has come and done well but I see no reason to feel insecure. At worst, what will happen. I will not be selected for the next Test series. So what is my job? To make a good comeback in domestic cricket post injury and produce performances, which is in my control," Wriddhiman said today after the match against Netaji Shubhash Institute.

Talk about his comeback to competition, Wriddhiman said that his rehabilitation is complete and he will be playing for his club side Mohun Bagan this weekend.

"I completed my rehab program at the NCA five days back. I can resume playing competitive cricket. At the NCA, they worked on a specific muscle tissue that had got weak due to the injury. The next big assignment will be Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (national T20) for Bengal," he said.

"Now I will be playing a few matches for my club side Mohun Bagan. I have started usual net sessions and it feels good. I am working with our club coach Palash Nandy. Also with a lot of former Bengal players like Sanjeev Sanyal, Subhomoy Das and Arindam Ghosh, Debabrata Das in our ranks, the training sessions have been fun."said the wicket-keeper batsman.

Wriddhi today was well assisted by his batting partner Debabrata Das who scored 238 runs off 172 balls and both helped their team Mohunbagan mount a mammoth total of 595 for 5. Debabrata who was dropped from the Bengal Ranji Trophy team last season played a scintillating innings and thus proved his metal to be picked for the up-coming Mustaq Ali T-20 for Bengal. Both the batsmen were up for praises for each other. Wriddhi said,"Today initially i was shaky while batting and I got set after my fifty but my batting became easy when Raja (Debabrata Nickname) was batting so well with lots of sixes and fours. I was feeling like strolling in an evening walk in a park." The double-centurion said, "I am playing with Wriddhi since U-13 days in Siliguri's Agragami Sangha and we share a good camaraderie among ourselves so we are at ease when on the crease. He has always been a fighter since young age and I saw the fighting spirit with him today and there was no sign of tiredness, with his century he proved that he is completely fit from his injury."
