Internet Desk: Former Dempo and Churchill Brothers footballer Roberto Mendes Silva was part of the All Stars match organized by former Brazilian legend Zico. The match was played at Maracana to honor the victims of the plane crash that killed most of Chapecoense’s players.

Over 60,000 people attended the all-stars match in Rio de Janeiro. Star footballers like Neymar, Rafinha and Joan Capdevila and former player Zico, participated in the charity match to pay tribute to the Brazilian club Chapecoense, many players of which lost their lives in a plane crash in November.

Most of the money made from the charitable event was donated to the families of the Nov. 29 tragic plane crash in Colombia, which killed 71 people, including 19 Chapecoense players.

Barcelona star Neymar was the star attraction for the match. Other players at that game were Brazilian star Kaka, former Real Madrid and Manchester City forward Robinho, and City’s upcoming team player Gabriel Jesus.

Beto posted a picture of him with Neymar in the Maracana dressing room before the start of the match on his facebook page. He wrote, “Me and Neymar in the dressing room of Maracana before Zico All Stars Game, it wasn’t about only entering the field, but the atmosphere, the dressing room, the jokes, the experience of a packed Maracana...what a night... God is in control
