36-year-old Bembem hanged her boots for India at the end of the South Asian Games last year in Shillong, and the Arjuna Award will be the perfect reward for her services for the country, thinks the parent body of Indian football.
She has been the biggest name in the women's game.
AIFF Player of the year Jeje has been an important member of the Blue Tigers and played a crucial role for Mohun Bagan in the I-League.
Gurpreet, a 26-year-old goalkeeper, who is the only Indian to have played top-flight football in Europe, also stands a good chance.
Gurpreet had turned out for Norwegian top division club Stabaek last year, and was impressive.
