The Saurashtra batsman also slammed four tons, which also includes a double ton against Australia in Ranchi.
Pujara ended the season with 2,064 runs in first-class cricket which is a record for any batsman in Indian cricket.
Kohli posted a photo on facebook to appreciate the performances of Pujara and called him a champion who is least mentioned but most effective.
“Everyone has contributed this season but I'm particularly happy and delighted to see the grit and determination of this guy. What a champion. Least mentioned but most effective. Well done Puji (Cheteshwar Pujara) for an outstanding season brother. Wish you many more years of stupendous performances for the team. Keep going,” wrote Kohli.
