Unfortunately, Gurpreet could not play the full 90 minutes as he injured his hand in the 30 minutes of the match and was forced to stay out. Till then, he kept a clean sheet.

The last training session ahead of the match, David moyes was present and kept a close look at Gurpreet's goalkeeping skills. He was there near about half an hour and looked impressed with Gurpreet. But Gurpreet did not get the chance to speak to him as he left early.

Gurpreet said over phone, "Yes, David Moyes was present in our last training session. But I did not get the chance to speak to him. I am overwhelmed with is presence. He was keeping a close look on our training session. "
