XtraTime Web Desk: England overtakes India and seizes top spot in the ICC ODI team rankings following annual update. England has 125 points as they gained 8 points. India dropped one point and placed second with 122 points.

This ranking hasn’t been considered the season of 2014-15 when England won just seven out of their 25 ODIs against full member teams.

England failed to perform well in the 2015 World Cup but after that it was an upward curve for them as they won 11 out of 14 ODIs and they also went to the semi finals of Champions Trophy in front of the home crowd.

South Africa lost four points as now they are in the third spot with 113 points. New Zealand slot in at the fourth position with 112 points, while Australia lost eight points to take the fifth position with 104 points. Pakistan, who won the Champions Trophy last year, slot in at the sixth place with 102 points.

Bangladesh is now placed seventh with 93 points while Sri Lanka (77) and West Indies (69) are in eighth and ninth spot respectively. Afghanistan (63) and Zimbabwe (55) gained five and four points respectively. Ireland is in 12 th spot.

Pakistan (130) and Australia (126) are top two teams in T20I rankings. India got two more points and got the third spot with 123 points. New Zealand (116) and England (115) take the next two slots in the rankings. Both South Africa (114) and the West Indians (114) gained three points, with the former taking the sixth slot based on decimal points.
