XtraTime Web Desk: South Africa is hosting Australia in their home land. During the ongoing third test in Newlands, Cape Town, Australian captain Steve Smith and opener Cameron Bancroft admitted they attempted to change the condition of the ball.

Bancroft said, “ The leadership group knew about it. I’m not proud of what’s happened. It’s not within the spirit of the game. Leadership group in question, and rightly so. “

Footage from the match emerged where the cricketer was seen transferring a small, square yellow object from his pocket into his trousers.

Later, during a press conference, Cameron revealed that he used a yellow tape to collect rough granules from the pitch to change the ball’s condition.

That it was indeed a team tactic, Aussie skipper Smith who was present during the press conference has revealed.
