Internet Desk: The series between India and South Africa turned into a series between Indian captain Virat Kohli and the Protes but, Shikhar Dhawan proved himself in the last ODI. In the test series Virat was only batsman to score a ton across both the teams and was the top scorer with 286 runs at an average of 47.66. Indian all rounder Hardik Pandya was second in the list who scored 119 runs with the average of 19.83. It could have been worse if he not scored 93 runs in Centurion.

Surprisingly Bhubaneshwar Kumar who had a great series with his ball also scored valuable 101 runs with an impressive average of 33.66. Other than him Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara scored over 100 runs in the series.

In ODIs’ Kohli still remain top as he scored most number of runs so far. He scored 393 runs with two tons and his average is 196.50. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan scored two half centuries and a century in Johannesburg.

Ajinkya Rahane however scored 79 in the first ODI but, failed to perform in the other matches. Hardik Pandya yet to play a good innings in this ODI series. Dhoni remain unbeaten in two of his three innings and scored 56 runs in an innings.

It was like Sachin Tendulkar in the mid and late 90’s when opposition felt if they could get his wicket they can break India’s batting. World cup scheduled 16 months from now, the Indian captain could do well if he get more support from his teammates.
