Debasis Sen, Centurion: Indian medium pacer Jasprit Bumrah feel the morning session on Day 4 could decide the fate of the second test match here at the Super Sport Park. According to Bumrah, “The game is still in balance if we get early wickets tomorrow. The match can be in anybody’s favour.  We need to create pressure tomorrow.”

The catching of the Indians in this match has been far from desired. Wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel was involved in a mis-judgement with Cheteshwar Pujara fielding at first slips, as a clear edge from Dean Elgar went between the both of them.

On being asked whether they seek an apology, Bumrah said, “We don’t do like that. It’s not like they didn’t go for the catch on purpose. It’s okay, it happens in the game. You cannot be too hard on them because a lot of the game is still left, we cannot make fun of them or make them under pressure because we have to forget the catch and move forward now.

Bumrah has been a revelation ever since making his debut in this series at Cape Town. The medium pacer has given India two crucial breakthroughs like he did in the first test match. He is quite relishing the challenge with AB.

“It is always very challenging and he is a world class batsman, everyone knows that. He has proven that over the years and he has done well everywhere. So it’s always a good challenge and as a player he motivates me as well, he is a great player and to do well against him always gives me confidence. I look at it as an opportunity and learn from it,” said Bumrah.

Lastly talking about Virat’s innings today, Bumrah said, “Virat’s innings was very crucial for us and he broght us back into the game. We lost few early wickets yesterday as well, so he was playing an anchor role and till the end he was fighting with us. So it was a very important innings and he has always done well wherever he has gone. So it was very important for us and it is good that the captain is leading from the front and taking responsibility.”
