Debasis Sen, Centurion: Former South African bowler Fanie de Villiers has questioned the selection of dropping Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the second test match at Centurion. Bhuvneshwar undoubtedly was India’s most successful bowler in the first test match at Newlands, taking 6 wickets. But the Indian team management preferred to play Ishant Sharma ahead of Bhuvi.

Regarded as one of the most economical bowler in ODI cricket, de Villiers is still remembered for troubling master blaster Sachin Tendulkar during the 90’s. The 6ft tall fast bowler now runs a charity for the deaf and is eyeing a bowling coach’s role in an IPL franchise. Xtratime caught up with the man for a chat on the series, the rivalry between Smith and Kohli, the challenges for the bowlers now with T20 cricket emerging, secret of his success in ODI cricket and also his disappointment of South Africa not winning a World Cup.
