Kolkata: Former Indian cricket team captain and Crickat Association of Bengal President Sourav Ganguly is eyeing to do something for the betterment Bengal Cricket. Till know all the cricket tournaments of CAB have been played in three grounds. They are Eden Gardens, Kalyani’s BCA Academy and Salt Lake’s Jadavpur University ground. Eden Garden’s is a property of the Indian Army, on the other hand Jadavpur University has given their ground the CAB as a lease. This shows that CAB only has Kalyani’s BCA Stadium as their own property.

To solve this scarcity of ground, CAB has urged the Chief Minister of West Bengal Smt. Mamata Banerjee to provide a land at Rajarhat where they would want build a Cricket Academy. The Association has sent a blue-print to the government about how much land they are asking for. The academy would have gym, indoor, residential complex and many more.

Sourav Ganguly shares a very good relationship with the Chief Minister and the CAB officials believe that the government will look after this matter with importance and would sanction the dream project of the former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly.
