Sony stars in the warm-up game ahead of the I-League

Kolkata: City giant Mohun Bagan set to start their I-League campaign against Minerva Punjab FC in Punjab on November 25. Ahead of that the Green & Maroon Brigade have played another practice match against U-19 Mohammedan Sporting football team today where they registered a thumping 6-0.

Bagan Captain Sony Norde and Kingsley both scored for the side today. The other goals were scored by Sourav Das, Narahari Srestha, Ricky Fernandez and Sk. Faiaz. In the second-half of the game Coach Sanjoy Sen made a few changes in the side. Dipanda Dicka came in place of Sony Norde. On the other hand, good news for Mohun Bagan as their star foreigner Ansumana Kromah has joined the squad today after solving his visa related issues. Though he didn’t take part in the match today and decided to do some stretching beside the sideline.” I am fully fit to play the I-League. If coach wants me to play, I will definitely play,” said Kromah before leaving the ground.

Mohun Bagan will play their first match of the League in just five days time. Ahead of their first match the Green & Maroon captain Sony Norde said,” We still have to improve in some areas, but I think we will rectify these things ahead of the start of the league.”
