Internet Desk: India will face New Zealand in the second match of the three-match T20I series tomorrow at Rajkot. Beside the match-winners like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and others the team management also relies on Axar Patel for his all-round ability with bat and ball.

Beside the wrist spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, Axar’s slow left-arm spin adds a lot of varity to the Indian bowling attack. His fiery batting at the lower order gives India always an extra edge against the opponents. He has an economy of 6 with the ball in the T20 format which is very good.

The current Indian cricket team coach, Ravi Shastri was also a slow-left arm bowler during his time. According to Axar, Shastri doesn’t force him to change anything in his bowling when it comes to his bowling style. Shastri just said him to bowl wicket to wicket.

"I do not talk to him (Ravi) too much as he knows my bowling style is quite different, as compared to him. He does not suggest too many changes. He says, you know you have come into the Indian team after having performed well, so just continue doing the same," Axar said on the eve of the second T20I against New Zealand in Rajkot.

"He also often talks about the need to know about how to bowl in different pressure situations. He does not give me major advices, but asks me to bowl stump to stump."
