Kolkata: The all important day i.e the semi finals of Brazil vs England has set sparks flying owing to the excitement of thousand of fans. The shifting of venue from Guwahati to Kolkata has certainly created a scarcity of tickets. A rumour spread in the morning like a wildfire claiming tickets would be sold from the chief clubs of the City i.e, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal and as a result a huge crowd of supporters had gather at the clubs to get their tickets. However nothing such happened. People had come all the way from Konnagarh and Barasat which included numerous female supporters. To control the situation, the Maidan Police had to interfere to settle the matter. However at last the tickets were given to the crowd. Mohun Bagan were gifted 500 match tickets by the FIFA, so the club keeping a mere number of tickets for their members decided to give out the rest of the tickets to the fans with the normal price of Rs. 100.

Bagan Secretary Anjan Mitra said, "despite the rumours, a huge crowd had gathered so we decided to give away the tickets."

Another Bagan official Debasish Dutta said, "the club has no right to give away the tickets but owing to the huge anxious crowd that was waiting, we decided to give away the tickets."
