India put up a scintillating performance in the final 5 overs to turn the tide in their favour. India won the third and final ODI match to bag the series 2-1 against New Zealand after winning a thriller of a match at Kanpur. With this series win Kohli & Co. registered their seventh back to back ODI series win.

Set to chase a target of 338 to win, the Kiwis took the charge and bashed the bowlers to take a firm grasp on the game, however some sensational bowling from Indian pacers changed the game for the Men in Blue.

At a stage when the Kiwis required 35 from 24 deliveries, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah bowled exceptionally well in the death overs, as Kumar gave away only 15 runs in his last 2 overs of his spell.

The kiwis lost their opener Guptil for 10 while Munro hammered a brilliant 75 with 7 fours and 3 sixes. The middle too played brilliantly after skipper Kane Williamson scored 64 while hard hitter Ross Taylor scored 39.

Wicketkeeper Latham almost finished the game with his brilliant 65 but ultimately had to bow out to a superb Indian pace death bowling attck. India also registed their seventh consecutive series victory with this win as they won the game with 6 wickets after New Zealand ended their innings at 331-7.

Despite brilliant death bowling, the overall bowling was inconsistent as the bowlers conceded huge runs. Jasprit Bunrah scalped 3 wickets, Yuzvedra Chahal bagged 2 while Bhuvneshwar took a wicket.
