Kolkata: City giant East Bengal's newly signed Brazilian central defender Eduardo Ferreira has reached Kolkata today to play the forthcoming I-League season for the Red & Gold Brigade. After completing the signing of Eduardo in place of Carlyle Mitchell, East Bengal has completed the signing of their all six foreigners for the I-League. The other five are Willis Plaza, Bazzou Armand, Mahmoud Al Amna, Yusa Katsumi and Charles de Souza.

After signing arch-rival Mohun Bagan's former captain Katsumi Yusa, Eduardo is the second footballer who will be dawning the Red & Gold jersey this season. But Eduardo is well known as a injury-prone player and it could be a matter of concern for Khalid Jamil Brigade.

Eduardo looked a bit tired after his long flight journey. According to him the experience of playing in India for last couple of seasons would help him to perform well for East Bengal." I am playing in India for last two seasons and that would help me to perform well. I am eagerly waiting for dawning the Red & Gold jersey. My only focus is to win the I-League for my side," said Eduardo.

He lauded his present team mates Charles and Katsumi too.

"Charles is the key player in this squad and I played with Katsumi last season and it will be great to share the dressing room together again. I am ready to give my 100 percent for East Bengal," concluded Eduardo.
