Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting Club on Monday has arranged a Press Conference in the Club Tent, where Dipendu Biswas, the Chairman of Club's Football Committee alongside Honourary General Secretary Mr. Ghazal uz Zafar and official Mr. Belal Ahmed Khan, announced that Mohammedan Sporting Club will not play their next 2017/18 Calcutta Premier Division - A fixture against Peerless Sports Club at Kalyani Stadium and requested IFA to shift the match at Barasat. Further he requested IFA to reduce ticket prices for Mohammedan Sporting Club's matches at Barasat.

In the press conference, Dipendu said, "A good number of Mohammedan Sporting club members have renewed their club membership this season. If The IFA moves the venue from Kalyani to Barasat, the fans will be largely benefited. This is our humble request to IFA to look into that matter."

Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan officials too criticized The IFA for giving "undue advantage" to their arch rivals Kingfisher East Bengal. According to their grief, the fixture committee intentionally provided a "comfortable fixture" to the Red and Gold brigade.
