Internet Desk: Virat Kohli reached a milestone when he became the seventh Indian batsman to cross 1000 plus runs in Test Cricket while playing in overseas conditions. Kohli’s unbeaten 76 in the Day 3 test innings at Galle made him surpass Sunil Gavaskar and leaves him behind the likes of  Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azhruddin Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli reached 1026 runs after playing 11 matches with a good average of 64.

Kohli also made another feat when he became the seventh Indian to cross 1000 overseas runs as a captain. Among the list of the other batsman, Kohli manages to have the highest average of all.
