Kolkata: A new spark has been observed at the Health and Physical Education chapter of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education of the seventh standard. Kolkata giants East Bengal had been featured in this chapter taking the glory of the club to a new height.
However before this the other Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan was feature in the West Bengal Board books regarding the 1911 IFA Shield victory against the East Yorkshire Regiment.
Starting from the page of the Contents to a detailed account in four pages is first for the Red and Gold brigade. Starting from page no 8, in the chapter of Bengal’s club culture, East Bengal is featured in the book.
However not only East Bengal, other eminent clubs from the city like Mohun Bagan, Kumortuli, Jorabagan, Sobhabazar and others have also been mentioned.
This particular chapter also features a logo of East Bengal in bold Red and Yellow colours. Numerous pictures of the Kolkata club are printed depicting picture of Dilip Kumar, Sanju Pradhan, Nirmal Chhetri.
Starting from the birth history of the club to a detailed description of the success of the club has been feature in this chapter. Lastly it can be said that it was a huge expectation of all East Bengal fans to see their favourite club being featured in books and finally it can be said that, the day has come which will surely bring a big smile in the faces of the red and Gold supporters.
