Kolkata: Indian football fans have a great news, as Ranti Martins Soleye, the prolific Nigerian goalscorer, might return to India to play for a top Indian club. There had been rumours surrounding him for the last few days, claiming that there have been some interesting offers for him to play in India in the forthcoming season. But unfortunately Ranti himself kept silent for long. But today, Ranti broke his silence and gave positive hints to www.xtratime.in on the possibility of coming back to India.

Ranti told www.xtratime.in , "Yes Mohun Bagan officials spoke to my agents. This is true. We are in talks with them". But he also stated, "I also told the Mohun Bagan officials that I would be available from January only." Ranti is in The USA at the moment and playing club football over there.

Ranti confirmed, "I am only available for the I-League and I informed that to the Mohun Bagan officials as well." He also confirmed that there is a possibility of joining the Mariners this season. Mohun Bagan is yet to recruit a player this season and Ranti's reaction would certainly make the Mohun Bagan fans excited.

Ranti scored 29 goals in 36 appearances for East Bengal when he last played in India. If he joins Mohun Bagan, it would certainly be an exciting contest when he will play against the arch rivals.

Meanwhile, sources revealed that East Bengal's new coach Khalid Jamil has shown his interest to retain Willis Plaza who had a disappointing show in the previous season. Though a few officials have reportedly opposed Khalid's request, but the top officials want to have a discussion about it.
