Debasis Sen, London: After a disappointing performance against India in their opening match Fakhar Zaman replaced Ahmed Shehzad and put up some strong performances in the following three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy. The aggressive styled batsman scored two half-centuries. He made his debut in this ongoing series when he was introduced in the second game. With a run tally of 138 runs in 3 games he also has a highest score of 57 against England at Cardiff.

Playing the finals would be a very important game for the 27 year old as millions of fans would be eagerly watching this game. “It is a big game and stars are often born in such games, we get to learn a lot and as a result we are excited for the game.

Often in the past it has been seen that Pakistan failed to win any major ICC trophies to which the left handed batsman replied “All these things are based on mindset, and as a result the management had instilled the mindset that we would have to win the trophy.”

“No such plans, I will play my normal game and I would love to keep playing the way I am doing” said Zaman on being asked about any special plans while playing against India.

In a token of appreciation for the fans and supporters he said,“I want all of our fans and supporters to pray for us. It is for their blessings that we have reached the finals and we wish to gift them a return by winning the finals”.
