Arguably the greatest batsman in the modern era, Tendulkar single handedly made an entire nation follow the game like a religion. The maestro has to his credit innumerable records and milestones. But the one that stands apart will be the World Cup which Indian lifted at the Wankhede Stadium in 2011.
Six years and 22 days have passed since India's historic night in Mumbai but the image of Sachin holding the trophy is still fresh in the minds of every Indian cricket fan.
The social media is flooded with good wishes for the master. The Mumbai Indians will be celebrating his birthday during the innings break of the Indian Premier League match against Rising Pune Supergiant at Wankhede Stadium tonight.
