Kolkata: The Kolkata derby venue of the next leg of the Hero I-League is on its way for a solution. The Mohun Bagan officials were in a fix between The Barabati Stadium in Cuttack and the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri. But today, Mohun Bagan official Debasish Dutta had a meeting with the Sports Sub-Division of Siliguri to organise the return leg of the Kolkata derby over there. According to the reliable club sources, if things go according to the plan, then Mohun Bagan will organise the game at the Kanchenjunga Stadium, which is known to be the fortress of the East Bengal supporters.

The Mohun Bagan officials earlier wanted to host the derby match at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, but the police permission came out to be an issue and that forced them to look for the other possible options.

The Green and Maroon brigade is trying to organise the game at Siliguri for another reason as they think that the venue will be a better option for them in terms of the ticket-sell as well compare to Cuttack. The Bagan officials will have a final meeting on tomorrow and will likely to inform that to The All India Football Federation on tomorrow evening as well for their preparations and consent.
