Supreme Court to give final order on January 2. File Pic[/caption]Internet Desk: The officials and administrators of the BCCI might face an acid test on the first Monday of the year 2017, when the honourable Supreme Court will declare whether the officials of BCCI might be suspended and replaced by independent observers or not, based upon the research of Justice RM Lodha and his Committee.
GM Pillai is the favourite candidate to look after the functions of the elite cricket organization in India if the situation occurs, as the former Union home Secretary is the recommended candidate from the Lodha Committee.
The big names of BCCI like President Anurag Thakur and Secretary Ajay Shirke etc have maintained an hostile view upon the recommendations given by the Lodha Panel, some of which are one state, one vote, one man and barring senior citizens for holding office.
The bench headed by retiring Chief Justice of India, TS Thakur, could also give its order on BCCI president, Anurag Thakur’s affidavit over seeking the International Cricket Council’s support over the Lodha panel’s asking a Comptroller and Auditor General’s office representative to be part of the Apex Council.
The court has warned Thakur that he could be hauled up for perjury.
