Internet Desk: Pakistan's Right arm Fast bowler Mohammad Ali achieved a rare herculean task in domestic cricket by not only taking ten wickets alone but all wickets were taken without the help of any fielder. Seems ridiculous isn't it?
What made Ali’s achievement even more special was that fact that all 10 wickets sneered by him were without any fielders’ help. Nine of them were bowled while one was adjudged LBW.
In a match played between Zone 3 and Zone 7, Ali led the bowling attack to guide Zone 3 to victory by clinching everything on offer.
Zone 3 won the toss and put Zone 7 to bat first. Zone 7 scored 72 runs while Ali claimed 2 wickets.
Zone 3 took 218 runs lead and it was Ali on the other end who grabbed the headline. The pacer single handedly destroyed Zone 7’s batting line-up on 23 runs.
The tournament doesn’t hold first class status, hence the record will not be entered in the books, but Ali’s performance will surely attract selectors’ eye for future assignments.
On International level only Anil Kumble and Jim Laker have clinched all 10 wickets in an innings.
