Internet Desk: Bangladesh’s teenage spin sensation Mehedi Hasan Miraj recently got rewarded by the country’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for his heroics in the historic test win against England at home. The 19 year old off-spinner is to have a new home built for him in his hometown Khulna.

Miraj burst into limelight with his 12 wickets in the second test against England at Sher e Bangla stadium in Mirpur. His spell ensured Bangladesh’s first test win against England in 10 attempts. The Tigers cruised to a 108 run victory over Alistair Cook’s side on Sunday, sending the cricket crazy nation into frenzy.

Hasan, who lives with his parents in a basic home in Khulna district will now have a new home built after the instructions from Hasina. The Bangladesh Prime Minister, an avid follower of cricket, told local authorities to build something more befitting a national hero.

"We are now trying to find a good spot to build Mehedi a new home following the prime minister's directive," Khulna district administrator Nazmul Ahsan said.

Hasan, who led his country to the semi finals of U’19 World Cup in India made his Test debut against England in Chittagong. His heroics with the ball earned him the Man of the Match as well as Man of the Series award in Dhaka.
