MS Dhoni : The Untold Story earns 21.30cr on day 1. Source : Xtra Time[/caption]Internet Desk : It is a great start for Sushant Singh Rajput starrer MS Dhoni : The Untold Story, as the much awaited Dhoni’s biopic successfully met with the huge hype and anticipation regarding its collections on its first day of release.
MSD’s biopic has made history in bollywood as the 2nd highest opener of 2016, after Salaman Khan starrer Sultan. MS Dhoni’s biopic collected a whooping Rs 21.30 cr on its opening day.
Analyst Taran Adarsh shared his views , collection and status of the film on twitter. He said,” MS Dhoni : The Untold Story takes a thunderous start on Day 1.Emerges the 2nd Highest opener of 2016.It is the biggest opener in the biopic genre.Saturday and Sunda should add to a fabulous total.”
The movie has been declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier the biopic was also made tax free in Dhoni's home state, Jharkhand.
"We are extremely thrilled and thankful to the government of Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for giving the film tax free status. It is an overwhelming feeling to be seeing this biopic of Mahi's life getting such recognition," Arun Pandey, the producer of the movie said in a statement
House full multiplexes shows the huge popularity of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The story shows the real life Dhoni that is pulling the crowd to the multiplexes. As of the early reviews Sushant Singh Rajput has acted really well in the movie. The movie saw a good opening in morning shows. He also shared the list of top five highest box office openers of 2016.
