Kolkata: The much-anticipated festival of Durga Puja, described often as biggest open air art-instaliation, came to an end on Tuesday. Like every year, there were many extravagant themes, pandals, art works and installations.

But the theme that stood out was the light works depicting the exploits of Sakshi Malik, PV Sindhu and Dipa Karmakar in Rio Olympics this year.

Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption]Kolkata Knight Riders cricketers Yousuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Manish Pandey and Ankit Rajput came down to the city to visit the pandals of various puja committees. All the cricketers were rushed to the city to soak in the festivities as part of sponsors commitments.

Mohun Bagan’s Scottish striker Darryl Duffy was seen visiting a puja mandap in Howrah.
