PV Sindhu looses to Sayaka Sato in Denmark Open. File Pic[/caption]Internet Desk: PV Sindhu’s return to court was cut short as she made her exit from Denmark Open Super Series on Thursday. The Rio Olympic silver medalist was stunned 21-13, 21-23, 21-18 by Sayaka Sato of Japan in the second round at Odense.
In the men’s singles HS Prannoy and Ajay Jayaram also lost their respective matches. While Prannoy lost to Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia 21-10, 22-20, Jayaram went down to Shi Yuqi of China 2321, 21-15.
The Japanese got off to a brilliant start as she took the first game, playing some wonderful shots. Trailing by a game, Sindhu did improve her play but Sayaka was equal to the task. But the World No. 8 managed to take the second game 23-21 to level the tie.
In the final game, Sayaka earned some crucial points to take the game and match. The final score read 21-13, 21-23, 21-18.
