Internet Desk : Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Barbora Strycova from Czech Republic continued their red hot form against Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova to reach the women’s doubles semi-final at the Wuhan Open on Friday.

The Indo-Czech pair Sania-Strycova broke their rivals four times and dropped their serve thrice in the one-hour and 18 minute contest and sealed the game by  6-3, 7-6 win over Timea and Yaroslava in an exciting contest. They will next face Chinese Taipei duo of Chan Yung-Jan and Chan Hao-Ching for a place in the final.

Sania and Strycova joined as partners at the Cincinnati Open for the first time after splitting with Swiss star Martina Hingis last month. They defeated Martina Hingis and CoCo Vandeweghe in the final to win the Cincinnati Open.

However, they were knocked out of the US Open, the fourth and final major of the season, after losing in the quarterfinals.
