New Zealand plays a draw with Mumbai

Internet Desk : New Zealand has started their campaign in India against Mumbai  with a draw in three-day warm-up match. At the Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, as Ronchi scored a ton in their second innings.

Starting the day’s play at 431 for 4, Mumbai added 33 runs to their second day score and announced their innings after Siddhesh Lad completed his century. Prior to the day , Aditya Tare left his innings on 53 as retired hurt .

Trailing by 140 runs in the first innings, Williamson’s men sent their lower order batsmen to spend some time in the park. Starting the second innings with Ronchi the New Zealand opener Martin Guptill, fell for a second-ball duck - caught by Suryakumar Yadav off Vishal Dabholkar's bowling.

Later the wicket keeper-batsman found good company in the form of Trent Boult for the fifth wicket,as  Boult stuck around for 54 deliveries, before getting caught by Royston Dias off Vijay Gohil, reducing the quies to 138 for 5.

However Ronchi, was going strong and hammered three sixes and 15 boundaries on his way to a century. By the time he got out, stumped off Valsangkar, he had scored an 112-ball 107.

Lad joined the game with the ball as well, by picking up a couple of wickets, while Valsangkar bagged his third wicket by dismissing Ish Sodhi to end New Zealand's second innings on 235.
