East Bengal to start Bordoloi Trophy campaign on 21st September against A.S.E.B, Guwahati. Image : XtraTime[/caption]Kolkata: East Bengal will end their campaign in CFL 2016 on 18th September and will leave Kolkata on 20th September, and reach Guwahati the same day to participate in the 64th Borodoloi Trophy 2016. Previously the organizers said that they will start the tournament on 12thSeptember, but they had to reschedule their fixtures as East Bengal officials said, that they could only participate in the tournament if the organizers could reschedule the date for East Bengal .
There will be a total of 8 teams who will be participating in the tournament divided in two groups. In Group B East Bengal is clubbed with Sikkim United, Bongobi Ogragami Club of Bangladesh and A.S.E.B of Guwahati. In Group A, there will be Shillong Lajong, 3 Star Club from Nepal, Flamingo from Nagaland and Oil India.
Kingfisher East Bengal will start their campaign on 21st September against A.S.E.B of Guwahati. They will play their second match of the tournament is on 24th September against Bongobi Ogrogami of Bangladesh and will play their last group league match against Sikkim United on 27th September .
In a statement, the organizers quoted that the Semi Final and the Final will be held on 28th , 29th and 30th September respectively , earlier the Final of the Borodoloi Trophy was dated on 1st October but later the organizers had to change the date as Hero ISL 2016’s opening ceremony will be on 1st October at Guwahati.
All matches will be telecasted live on Assamese channel Prag TV.
