Indian women's hockey team lost to Great Britain 3-0. File Pix[/caption]Internet Desk: At the end of Monday the last bad news came from hockey arena as women’s hockey team lost by big margin to Great Britain. They are now at the last position of the group.
On Sunday there was an excellent show from the eves of Indian hockey team. They failed to produce that good show yesterday against Great Britain. The defence which was the main power of the team in the match against Japan that failed to conceive three goals.
In the match the first quarter was goalless as both the teams played quiet well. In the second quarter India conceived two goals mostly at the end of the quarter. The first goal was through a penalty corner. The second goal showed the poor quality of Indian defence.
After conceiving the second goal the Indian eves could not fight back like the previous day. In the previous match they fought back after conceiving two goals to make the match a 2-2 draw. In the third quarter they conceived the last goal which ended their hope advancing in the Olympic.
India is now at the fourth position of the group. They have their match against Australia day after tomorrow.
