A game which started in Germany in the year 1893, is slowly spreading its paw throughout the world in the late twenty and twenty first century.
This was mostly a mid-European game. Apart from Germany, Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic, Belgium and also France have good fan following for this game. Among Asian countries Japan plays this different ball game.
About the Game in Brief:
Cycle Ball is played by two teams made up of two players riding around a basketball field and trying to shoot a ball through their opponent's goal post, using their heads, or the front wheels of the bikes. Players must keep their feet off the ground to avoid a free-kick, and try to score more goals than their adversaries.

A football playing by the help of cycles is the unique thing in the game. The cycles used here are of fixed-gear type and without any gear or which is called free gear cycles. The seat is positioned over the back tire.
The countries playing cycle ball have no nationalized teams. Players participate with individual funding and training. As there is no money to be made in Cycle Ball, professional players usually hold down full time jobs, while rigorously training in the gym, to keep in shape for competitions.
In this era, when India is creeping towards adventure sports along with several countries, this sports also needs to be encouraged. For this game fitness in gymnastic is very much needed. As India has a lot of funding authorities for different sports fields, this sports has a good prospect in this country.
