Dipendu Biswas signs for Mohammedan Sporting. File Pic[/caption]Kolkata: M.L.A Dipendu Biswas is all set to set a new height in Kolkata football when will don the black and white jersey of Mohammedan Sporting in this year's CFL. Dipendu will be starting in a few days time.
The former Tata Football Academy product has recently won the Assembly elections in West Bengal for Basirhat Dakshin seat. The owner of 245 career goals was emerged victorious on a big margin.
Dipendu is expected to take time out of his busy schedule and train with the whole squad in the morning before heading to the Assembly. He will also play all the matches in the CFL but it will be interesting to see whether he show his charisma from the elction ground to the football ground for which he is well known for.
Mohammedan ground secretary, Kamaruddin said, " Yes he will be playing for us in the CFL. he will train regularly with the squad. his eagerness to play till now shows his character and determination. We are proud to have him in our squad. He can also act as a mentor to the juniors."
