Internet Desk: Today's Copa America Group B tie may not have brought good tidings for Haiti, with them being trounced 4-0 by Ecuador. However, the presence of a certain player on the pitch for Le Rouge et Bleu brought a big smile onto the faces of Indian dootball aficionados.

Sony Norde played the full 90 minutes for his team and was awarded a three-star rating by Goal's matchday correspondent for his contributions in attack for Patrice Neveu's side, despite them unable to breach the South American team's defense. It must be noted that Norde was rated the highest amongst all of his compatriots.

The Mumbai City FC winger in the Indian Super League (ISL) and one of Mohun Bagan's most important componnts in offense over the last two seasons, which have yielded a Federation Cup and the I-League respectively for the Kolkata side, was said to have played a significant part in rustling Ecuadorian defenders for some moments in Haiti's attempts to score a goal.

Haiti's run has come to an end in the Copa America 2016 edition, with them finishing bottom of their group. Sony Norde can however take confidence from his performance in their last outing in the tournament.
