AIFF Secretary Kuhal Das to meet Goan clubs on 1st July. File Pic[/caption]Internet Desk: AIFF Secretary Kushal Das will meet the Goan I-League clubs on 1st July in Goa after Dempo SC chairman Shrinivas Dempo requested AIFF officials to sit with the officials of Salgaocar and Sporting Clube De goa who recently withdrew their name from the I-league.
Kushal Das said, "I will go and try to make them understand our plans. They are just misunderstanding the plan." AIFF will enforce the May 17th proposal, which would promote the ISL to the nation’s premier tournament with a “pay to play” franchisee model with no promotion or relegation. This proposal is the only thing which has forced the clubs to take this decision.
On this regard Kusal Das said, "This is nothing new to them. Clubs like Bengaluru FC, Bharat FC and DSK Shivajians also came into the fold paying a franchisee fee of RS 3 crore which is their deposit money."
