Internet Desk: Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders handed a humiliating loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore as they beat the visitors by a margin of 82 runs at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Chasing a low score of 131 runs set by KKR, the star- studded batting line-up collapsed like a pack of cards they were all-out for just 49 runs, the lowest ever total in the IPL history.

Australian paceman Nathan Coulter-Nile ripped apart the Bangalore top-order by dismissing skipper Virat Kohli (0), AB de Villiers (8) and Kedar Jadhav (9). He was adjudged Man of the match for his brilliant spell of 3 for 21.

After the unbelievable loss against KKR, AB de Villiers posted a morale-boosting message for his fans and team-mates on RCB’s facebook handler.

During his heartfelt video de Villiers said:

It’s difficult to find words after that embarrassing performance in Kolkata last night but the fact of the matter is it’s done and dusted. It’s something in the past and there is nothing we can do now to change our performance. What we can do is to look for a solution I believe there are two things we need to.

No. 1 looking at ourselves in the mirror. Each and every player has to look at themselves in the mirror and find a way to become better for the rest of the tournament and find a way to up your game. No.2 Opportunity. We have 7 games left for the rest of the tournament and every single game is an opportunity to find a spark and get the momentum rolling.

Tomorrow is another opportunity against the Sunrisers and we need to find a way to lit that spark. I know we can do it and I really believe that in my heart we have what it takes to turn it around again. I hope you believe it too.

A furious looking RCB captain later blamed his batsmen for the humiliating loss.

According to Kohli, “It was reckless batting, I can’t say anything, it was that bad. As professionals, we’re expected to do better. This is not acceptable.”

The RCB captain further added, “It was one of the worst batting performance if not the worst of IPL all time. It really hurts”

RCB next take on Gujarat Lions on Thursday in a must win IPL encounter.
