Image Source: AIFF[/caption]Internet Desk: Stephen Constantine's Indian football team is all set for a big leap in the FIFA rankings after some positive performances in the international level. Two back to back victories against Cambodia and Myanmar will surely be reflected on the FIFA ranking. According to the reports, the Blue Tigers will probably be at 101st place in the rankings that will be released by FIFA in April.
As per the prognosis tool offered in the FIFA website, India, which is on 233 points, will shoot up to 331 ranking points on the back of two away victories. The Blue Tigers will be tied on points with Nicaragua, Lithuania and Estonia. This will be India’s best ranking since February 1996, when the team was 94th.

While the exact ranking cannot be confirmed, it is very likely that the Indian football team will have a rank between 101 and 105. Bolivia’s upset defeat of Argentina means the side will occupy the 100th spot in the April rankings.
India next plays an international friendly against Lebanon on June 7th which will be followed by an AFC Asia Cup qualifier against Kyrgyz Republic on June 13th. Two positive results in these matches could help India to a double-digit ranking.
