Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption]Internet Desk: Bangladesh were dealt a major blow ahead of its first ever test match in Indian soil. Opening batsman Imrul Kayes has been ruled out of the one-off Test against India-which begins this Thursday due to a thigh injury.
Kayes injured his left thigh while fielding on Day Two of the practice match against India A at the Gymkhana Ground.
According to Bangladesh media manager Rabeed Imam, the injury to Kayes is a recurrence of the same injury that ruled him out of the second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch last month.
Uncapped Mosaddek Hossain has been called as a replacement for Kayes.
With Kayes being ruled out, Soumya Sarkar is likely to open the innings for the Tigers along with Tamim Iqbal when the one-off match gets underway on February 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
