Like every year this year, the blood donation camp started at 9 in the morning and continued till 6 in the evening. People from various parts of the city came to donate blood since the morning. While last year, the Frank Worrell’s certificate was signed by Yuvraj Singh, this year it was signed by V.V.S. Laxman.
CAB President Sourav Ganguly raised the Association’s flag sharp at 11 AM in presence of other office bearers.
“I donate blood every year. This makes me feel I am doing something good for the society. Blood donation is such a good thing,” said Ayan Chatterjee, a blood donor.
A volunteer of the camp said, “We are running this camp for a long time and over the years it is gaining popularity. Last year we had 2,020 donors, this year I guess the number will increase.”
