Internet Desk: Bengaluru FC's attacking spearhead CK Vineeth has been in lethal form of late. The Kerala born forward scored a sensational hat-trick against in-form Mumbai FC before taking on Kingfisher East Bengal on Sunday. In an exclusive interaction with www.xtratime.in , Vineeth revealed all he had to say about the remarkable journey of his BFC forward. Here goes the conversation:

XT : You have been going through a purple patch since the Hero ISL. What has been the significant change happened to your game?

Vineeth: There hasn't been much of a change, I've always tried to work hard in training and I believe it's paying off now. Every striker enjoys good patches of form and I like to believe that this is one of those. What's important is that I am able to contribute to the team, to claim good results at the same time.

XT : You would be playing a mighty East Bengal side on Sunday who are coming from two back to back away victories. How do you measure your next opponent?

Vineeth: We consider every opponent to be dangerous. The coach demands us to be brave in battle and that's the mood in the camp whenever we step out on the pitch. There are three points to be won tomorrow against East Bengal, as it was in the first three games and we know that for 90 minutes, we have to be at our best to win them.

XT : You have scored a magnificent hat-trick against an in-form Mumbai FC side. How are you feeling?

Vineeth: Scoring goals always makes me happy. As a striker it's my duty to pitch in and having said that, scoring Bengaluru FC's first hat-trick makes it even more special for me. I have to thank the coach, who trusted me to give me a place in the starting eleven.

XT : Among the three amazing goals you scored last night, which one pleased you the most?

Vineeth: I was happy about all the goals because I was able to be at the right place at the right time for all of them. But if I was to choose, it would be the first goal because we were having trouble finding the net and it helped

XT : According to you, how big an impact Albert Roca has made since he joined Bengaluru FC?

Vineeth: Coming into a team that are champions is always a tough job, be it as a player or a coach. Albert Roca came into a side and led us to the AFC Cup final and have been performing well in the League. The results are there for all to see and we, as players, are pulling together to do what he demands of us.

XT : According to you, what are the significant differences you observed between Ashley Westwood and Albert Roca in their playing styles?

Vineeth: Albert Roca likes us to play with the ball at our feet. It's a more Spanish way of football and we're slowly adjusting to it.  Under Ashley Westwood, it was more of an direct and aggressive approach. More than keeping the ball, we looked to put pressure and mount more attacks on the opposition.

XT : You have to deal with a giant defender like Ivan Bukenye on Sunday, who has been a telling presence in the defense, since he joined the East Bengal side. How do you see this battle?

Vineeth: I enjoy every battle on the pitch. It's a striker's job to score and in order to do that, we have to overcome defenders. That's what I'll look to do against East Bengal and I'm really looking forward to Sunday.

XT : You have played for United Sports Club for a long time. Do you think this experience of soaking the pressure of football fans in Kolkata, will be handy against East Bengal?

Vineeth: I played with United Sports Club in Kolkata but that was many years ago and I don't think that makes any difference.

XT : How do you see this journey from United Sports Club to Bengaluru FC and of course the tag of being one of the best attacking options in the country these days?

Vineeth: There have been many clubs along the way. I started out with Chennai Customs and KSEB, then there was Viva Kerala and United Sports Club. I like to believe that the lessons I've learned at all these teams have helped me become the player I am today for Bengaluru FC.

I do not pay much attention to tags. Playing football makes me happy and scoring is just a part of the game. For now I'm looking to keep my head down and work as hard as possible to do as well as I can.
