Over 2000 kids took part in Siddha Kiddathon to support underprivileged cancer affected kids

Internet Desk: Ladies Circle India & Siddha Group today flagged off th 2nd edition of Siddha Kiddathon at Mohun Bagan Ground, Kolkata to support underprivileged kids affected from cancer. The event started off with 50 underprivileged kids from Magic Bus School getting a chance to kick off the day with a fun run. Kids from ‘Chatra-Chaaya’, a school for the underprivileged & ‘Mukti Rehab’, a rehabilitation centre for kids, also took part in the run. Medals, goody, bags & school copies were distributed to these kids. Siddha & Ladies Circle India handed over a cheque of Rs. 3 lakhs for the treatment of 3 patients suffering from cancer & needing treatment at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah. Hospital Doctors and patient with their families were present to receive the cheque for the treatment.

Mr. Aditya Diwan, Director, Siddha Group, Mrs. Prachi Agarwal, Chairperson Ladies Circle India, Mrs. Shweta Poddar and many other dignitaries were present to flag of Siddha Kiddathon.

Around 2000 kids from various schools across the city along with over 3000 parents participated in the three run categories which were 400 mrts Mom & Me Run, 1 km Apollo Budding Champs run and 2 km Super Champs. Each kid got a medal and a certificate. Besides these, Goodie Bags, Zumba, Food Fiesta, DJ, Flood Light Stadium were the attraction of the event.

“When it comes to support a noble cause, Kolkatans never disappoint. We are overwhelmed with the response that we received from the participants and are proud to be associated with the initiative,” said Mr Aditya Diwan,  Director , Siddha Group.

“We are thrilled to see kids of all ages participating in events like this which encourages them towards fitness, make memories of running under flood lights and the same time give back to the socity. Ladies circle India is very proud to have a mega event like this in the city of joy.” Said Mrs. Prachi Agarwal, Chairperson, Ladies Circle India.
