India vs England: Eoin Morgan to captain England in the ODI & T-20 series

Internet Desk: Former England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales will be a part of England’s ODI and T-20 tour of India in the coming year. On the other hand wicket-keeper & left-handed batsman Ben Duckett has not been selected for the series.

Left hander Morgan and opener Hales were not part of England’s last ODI series against Bangladesh, in October, after they refused to visit Bangladesh due to some security reasons. But they will play the three one-day and three T-20 internationals in India starting from January 2017.

Duckett, who scored two half-centuries in his debut series against Bangladesh is not part of the touring side. Steven Finn and James Vince too miss out on selection from a squad which has won nine of their last 12 ODIs. Joe Root, who will be a proud father next month, is also a part of the squad.

England will play three ODIs and three Twenty20s during the three-week tour with the ODI opener taking place on Sunday 15 January in Pune.

England ODI squad:

Moeen Ali, Jonathan Bairstow, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan (capt), Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Chris Woakes.

England T-20 squad:

Moeen Ali, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Eoin Morgan (capt), Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey.
