Kolkata: Mohun Bagan fans can breathe a bit easier as their coach Sanjoy Sen is very much in touch with the star Haitian forward Sony Norde, who has been instrumental in Mohun Bagan’s success in the last couple of years. Despite their busy schedule the Mohun Bagan coach has been maintaining the equal rapport with Chennaiyin FC forward Jeje Lalpekhlua as well.

Teams like arch rivals East Bengal, defending I-League champions Bengaluru FC were also reportedly in demand of these two star forwards. Though the Bagan coach seemed not much bothered about it.

The Durga Puja didn’t give him the space to watch the season three of the Hero Indian Super League so far, as he was busy in inaugurating different puja pandals as a chief guest. The I-League clubs including the arch rivals East Bengal are keeping their eyes on the ISL for recruiting quality foreigners. But Sanjoy said,” We have almost completed our squad for the forthcoming I-League and from now on I’ll be trying to follow the following games in the Indian Super League. If I find any inclusion is required to the squad, I will certainly speak to our officials.”

Questions were raised regarding Scottish forward Darryl Duffy as well, as the star attacker could not quite impress in the Calcutta Football League matches after a promising start, but Sanjoy said,”Nope, I believe he has a contract with the club. But still, I’ll certainly have a word with the officials if they have any other idea for the I-League. I think he will be there.”

The Mariners’ boss also criticized FC Goa gaffer Zico for his experiment with Sanjay Balmuchu as the Bagan central defender was used as a central midfielder against Atletico de Kolkata yesterday.
