In the 19th minute a sublime assist by Prohlad Roy was well capitalized by the in-form Adileja. Midfielders like Do Dong Hyun, Prohlad Roy created a lot of opportunities for the East Bengal brigade. Adileja despite scoring the all important goal, missed a lot of chances to extend the lead.
The first half was dominated by the Red & Gold brigade. Though the Kolkata outfit was a bit circumspect in the second half and tried to consolidate their defense. Defenders Calum Angus had a wonderful game and hardly allowed any opposition forward to create danger. The match started 30 minutes late owing to an exhibition match prior to the game.
In the other semi final, Nepal's 3 Star Club defeated United Sikkim and will face East Bengal in the big final.
Meanwhile, East Bengal has decided to hand over an amount of 1 lakh rupees to legendary footballer Mohd. Habib for his treatment on Wednesday.
