Naman Ojha to lead India ‘A’ for the tour of Australia . Image Source: sportzwiki[/caption]Internet Desk: Wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha was selected as the captain of the India A team for the tour of Australia on Saturday. The India A team will take part in the two unofficial ‘Tests’ and a four-nation One-day tournament, in Australia, starting August 14.
Ojha had a memorable India A team tour of Australia in 2014 when he scored a double hundred and a hundred in a four-day match.
Most of the players selected were in the India squad that recently toured Zimbabwe. As many as nine players have been selected who were part of the Dhoni led India squad that won the ODI and T20 series in Zimbabwe.
The fifteen member squad includes Ranji Trophy’s highest run scorer Shreyas Iyer.
The tour will begin with a quadrangular series involving South Africa ‘A’, Australia ‘A’ and Cricket Australia’s National Performance Squad (NPS). The A team will also play two Test matches against Australia A which is scheduled for September 8 to 11 and September 15 to 18 in Brisbane. The selected 15 member squad is given below:
