Sanjoy Sen's Fate Decided In Delhi's Football House

Kolkata: Sanjoy Sen's fate was decided during the Appeal Committee meeting at the Football House in Delhi on Thursday. The Mariners coach was present at the meeting and answered all the questions asked by the AIFF Appeal committee and then left for Siliguri from Delhi.

After hearing Sanjoy Sen's answer, AIFF Appeal Committee looked satisfied and decided to reduce his suspension to four matches from eight matches. The four matches which he is suspended for after reduction also includes the derby and the following match against Shillong lajong FC. In his suspension reign he has already served his suspension in the last two matches against Mumbai FC and Aizawl FC. At the same time, the amount of fine has been reduced to 5 lakhs instead of 10 lakhs and it is to be deposited within 15 days from the date of communication.

Earlier, Sanjoy Sen, Head Coach, Mohun Bagan, was charged for making derogatory statements against AIFF. Sanjoy Sen, was suspended for 8 (eight) matches & a fine of Rs. 10 Lakhs was imposed on him as provided in Article 58 of the AIFF Disciplinary Code.

Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan team left for Siliguri on Thursday afternoon and is scheduled to have a practice session in the evening.
